Gabriel leads training exercises in Nyika to ensure the new canine unit is ready for action.
Gabriel is a dog handler and trainer who worked as part of the canine unit involved in counter-poaching operations in Limpopo National Park. He was deployed with patrol units to find potential threats along active poacher routes or to participate in tracking operations during a pursuit. He handled the tracker dogs, took them out on patrol and looked after them in camp. As well as his experience with the dogs he is a mean camp cook!
